Why I do this
I believe that interesting people thrive in interesting spaces.
Mass market art and decor can be just fine. I've certainly bought plenty of it and liked it well enough. But the more time goes by, the more I want to create a home that feels eclectic and interesting and totally unexpected, just like me. I'm pretty unique.
I bet you are, too.
I hunt for the pieces that feel rare and thoughtful — objects with a real maker's hand behind them. I'm drawn to work that has texture, personality, and won't apologize for being strange. And in today's world of AI everything, I'm even more drawn to things that were created for humans, by humans.
We all contain multitudes. Your space should, too.
About me
I'm Trish Sammer, a lifelong writer, seeker, and genuine oddball. I've made my living as a journalist, writer, and editor for the past buncha years. I started accidentally collecting art in 2021. After being repeatedly told that I had "an eye," I started reselling art, antiques, and old books online in 2024. I opened my first vendor space in April 2026 at Darberry's Antiques in Lambertville, NJ.
